Day one-
Terrific first day. The morning fog cleared quickly and it was a sunny, blue sky kind of day. Smooth waters and a slight breeze. We saw our first whale only hours into the cruise. Much to our surprise we spotted a spouting Gray in Possession Sound just off the southern tip of Whidbey Island. Chris saw a few harbor seals from the bridge while I was down in the galley and then this afternoon a small school of porpoise passed us traveling in the opposite direction. Max is sleeping in Chris’ arms, Lynyrd Skynyrd is blaring from the sound system, and I am reading Life Under Glass –The inside Story of Biosphere 2.
Calm night on the hook near Hope Island.
